NoCo Honor Band - Audition Recording Instructions

Recording, Naming Files, Uploading to DropBox

1. Record audition using the best equipment you have available. Be sure to check recording levels and recording quality.
2. Woodwind/Brass recordings should be submitted as a single, high quality mp3 format file (no .wav, .aiff, etc.) Double check recording plays!
3. Percussion video files should be in a standard format (QuickTime, mp4, etc.) Double check video file plays! 
4. ALL auditions must be recorded live with no editing. Students may record each portion of the audition separately, but are asked to combine the unedited components (scales, etudes, etc.) into a single mp3 file (woodwinds/brass) or Quick Time/mp4 file (percussion).
5. Please name audition flies as follows: LastName_FirstName_School_Instrument (Example: Skywalker_Luke_FRHS_Trombone)
6. Directors and students are responsible for files being named, in the correct file format, and working correctly.​
7. Directors Only: Upload student recording files to the appropriate folder in the NOCO Honor Band Google Drive.

• ​​​Submit audition recording (in the correct file format) and your $15 audition fee (payable to your school band) to your Band Director.
